Pair of Grand Tour Bronze Tazzas on Marble Plinths, Italy, Circa:1890

About the Item

This pair of hand-cast bronze Edwardian tazzas on Sienna marble plinths were copied from Classical ancient Roman/Greek urns being excavated all over the former Roman Empire. The casting of the details of the urns and their applied handles is excellently crafted. The Sienna marble is a rich tan with dark veins throughout. The marble sits on a bronze base with an acanthus border. They are perfect for the mantel, console, or commode and are excellent as bases for small topiaries.
