About the Item
A delightful porcelain Royal Worcester figure titled CHINA designed by Freda G Doughty and dated 1951. The rare figure portrays a young Chinese child sitting and eating a bowl of rice with chopsticks. The small and finely made figure wears loose trousers and a collarless shirt fastened at the front and a pair of slipper like shoes. The child sits on the ground with their knees slightly raised and holds a large bowl up to their mouth with a pair of chop sticks in their right hand in a motion of feeding themself. The figure is nicely detailed with a well painted finish and bears printed Royal Worcester marks to the base. The figure is numbered 3073 and is marked modelled by F.G.Doughty.
