'Les Bambous' Bronze Sculpture by Nicola Rosini, Ed 3/8
About the Item
Rosini was born in Italy in 1959 but moved to France as a young boy. He recounts visiting his father, a bronze foundry artisan, at his foundry and playing with metalwork in his youth. He later went on to learn bronze foundry art before 'dabbling' in theatre and music, not returning to sculpture until the 1980s.
Despite his work fetching ever higher prices, Rosini still prefers to work alone and while he produces ideas at a rapid rate, he often takes months or sometimes even years to produce a piece.
He is currently living in Provence, France with his wife, the dancer Rosini Cecile. They have three children
