"Stier 4" Kinetic Mobile Abstract Sculpture by Otto Monestier & Paolo Tilche

About the Item

Rare sculpture called "Stier 4", produced by Arform, the manufacturer founded in Milan in 1955 by Italian architect Paolo Tilche. This piece was designed by Paolo Tilche and Otto Monestier and it is made of aluminum sections and a steel base. It can be moved in order to create different shapes. The size of this piece is therefore adjustable. Tilche and Monestier designed a series of kinetic sculptures together, between the 1960s and the 1970s. This specimen dates back to 1970, as it was published that year on an issue of "Bolaffi Arte" It still retains the original Arform label on its base. This piece is most likely a stock found. Was still sitting in its wooden crate. There are no defects to mention, just minimal oxidation to the steel.
