A pair of 18th century Italian candlestick fragments decorated with tourmaline in matrix.
The pair of 18th century Italian gold leaf candlestick fragments are originally from a church in Florence. They are combined with natural-forming toumaline. This tourmaline is organically nestled into a matrix of feldspar, beautifully showing the two contrasting minerals intermixed with one another.
The pair of Italian church candlestick fragments and troumaline in the feldspar matrix are put together in a sculptural form - creating a pair that appears to have evolved together over time. Interpreting the past to create pieces entirely original, evolving in its own right.
