Aura Chalcedony I

About the Item

Aura chalcedony is created through a unique process wherein a specimen of natural chalcedony – a variety of microcrystalline quartz – is placed in a vacuum chamber and metal is ionized or superheated until it vaporizes and fuses to the natural crystal, resulting in a mesmerizingly druzy, even iridescent effect. A marvel of science and mineralogy,  this begs to be prominently displayed. The cube pictured measures 1" in diameter and is not included. Dimensions: 8-1/2"W x 1-3/4"D x 6-1/4"H, Weight: 3.26 lb.
