An exceptionally rare, large and fine Austrian cold painted bronze Donkey, Vienna, c. 1900. The donkey beautifully modelled, with his head to the right, his hair finely cast, then detailed in cold painted enamels.
He stands upon a grassy mound, oval base, above a coppered foot rim.
Stamped ‘B’ in an urn mark to the underside of the donkey.
Length – 30.5 cm, 12”.
Height – 27 cm, 10 1/8”.
Depth – 10.2 cm, 4”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the enamels. No damage. No repair.
