Antique Early 18th Century Deep Green English Mallet Formed Glass Wine Bottle

About the Item

This antique hand-crafted wine bottle has no maker's marks, but presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1740 and done in a period Georgian style. The glass is a very deep olive green which was hand-blown and formed to a mallet shape with a ribbed rim at the top and an unground rough pontel on the base. The bottle is in very good period condition showing no chips or cracks, but there is some haze on the interior.
