Mason's Ashworth Ironstone Chinoiserie Garniture

About the Item

A 5-piece garniture of Mason's Ashworth ironstone vessels in orange, chinoiserie patterns. This garniture makes a striking statement with a bright orange glaze underneath cobalt, turquoise, and gold details. The garniture comprises: -A pair of Masons Ashworth ironstone covered jars on a striking orange glaze with hand-painted Chinese figures, made in England circa 1910. 12 1/4 in. H with covers x approximately 5 3/4 in. Dm at widest point (31.1 cm H x 14.6 cm Dm). In very good condition. On one vase: crazing to interior and exterior of body. Some pinpricks to glaze in one of the orange panels. Star-shaped hairlines on base, only visible on interior. On the other vase: wear to orange glaze on both figure panels. -A pair of trumpet vases in the ‘Sumatra’ dragon pattern on a striking orange glaze with cobalt chinoiserie details, made in England by Mason's Ashworth circa 1910. 8 1/8 in. H x 5 in. Dm at opening (20.6 cm H x 12.7 cm Dm). In excellent condition. On one vase: A few minor scratches to orange ground. On the other vase: crazing visible on orange ground. A few areas where the white body shows from beneath the orange glaze. - A Masons Ashworth ironstone baluster in the ‘Pheasant’ pattern on a striking orange glaze, made in England ca. 1910. 8 1/8 in. H x approximately 4 1/4 in. Dm at widest point (20.6 cm H x 10.8 cm Dm). In very good condition. Light radial scratching to orange glaze just under vase shoulders.
