Mason's Ashworth Orange Chinoiserie Octagonal Bowl

About the Item

A Mason’s Ashworth octagonal ironstone bowl decorated in a lively orange glaze with delicate chinoiserie details throughout. The design is transfer-printed in under- and over-glaze blue with a pattern of birds and Chinese fans nestled in stylized floral and foliate sprays. The bold orange ground is accented with lovely light yellow, cobalt, and turquoise details. Dimensions: 8 1/2 in. Dm x 4 1/4 in. H (21.6 cm Dm x 10.8 cm H) Condition: Excellent. Light scratching and wear to the well of the bowl. Provenance: The Fortunoff Collection.
