About the Item

ANTIQUE FAIENCE LIDDED JAR/VASE/URN An impressive and decorative ceramic lidded jar or vase of large bulbous form with multicoloured drip glaze. Made by Faiencerie de Thulin near Mons in Belgium and dating from the early 20th century. Circa 1900-1920 in date. Stamped underneath with the model number as well as the ‘Made in Belgium’ stamp. It is in good vintage condition with no serious structural issues, cracks or large chips. There is some wear commensurate with age, including a crackle to the glaze as well as a few minor chips to the glaze, mainly around the rim, which are mostly hidden when the lid is on. Approximate overall measurements: 47cm high x 26cm diameter at the widest part.
