This handmade glass jar with a lid, signed by renowned Swedish designer Erik Höglund, was hand crafted at the Nový Bor glassworks, Czech Republic, in 1992. These jars have become a collectors item. ABOUT ERIK HÖGLUND Erik Höglund (1932–1998) was a pioneering Swedish designer known for his innovative work with glass. While his designs at Boda glassworks made him famous, Höglund also freelanced in the 1990s, collaborating with retailers such as NK and Duka. In the earliy nineties, he designed a series of glass objects that was hand crafted at the Czechoslovakian glassworks Chribska, Novy Bor and Rovne. Known for his bold use of color and unique shapes, Höglund often combined glass with other materials like wrought iron, creating playful yet functional art pieces that continue to captivate collectors worldwide.
