Large Chinese Antique Jar with Mustard Glaze, Bird and Floral Motifs, circa 1900

A large Chinese antique jar from the turn of the century, with mustard glaze and floral and bird motifs. Born in China in the early years of the 20th century, this charming jar features a barrel shaped body, adorned with a mustard glaze featuring among other a rooster standing proudly in a lovely landscape. Accented with Greek Key and floral motifs, the jar showcases a great precision of details, particularly visible in the rooster's plumage and tree leaves. With its nice proportions and patina revealing its age, this Chinese jar circa 1900 will bring a touch of elegance to any home, whether placed on a patio, in a foyer or in a living room.
