19th Century French Oval Rosewood Jardinière with Marquetry and Bronze Mounts

About

This elegant, antique bombe planter was crafted in France, circa 1860. The Napoleon III oval fruit wood jardinière with side handles stands on four scroll feet, and features intricate marquetry decor on all four sides; it is further embellished with bronze mounts in each corner, and a decorative bronze pierced gallery around the rim. The piece has stylized, floral motifs and the original green painted zinc tray liner. The Classic, refined jardinière is in excellent condition with beautiful, delicate lines, and rich walnut patina. Measures: 17.5" W x 11" D x 7.5" H.
