19th Century Walnut Vase-shaped Jardinière or Wine Cooler

About the Item

This elegant 19th-century walnut vase-shaped tea stove, jardinière, or wine cooler features a beautifully shaped circular top with curved pierced slats, allowing the brass bucket to be seen and reflecting light. The removable original brass liner, likely intended as a wine cooler or possibly a jardinière, adds to its versatility. A swing handle is fixed to the top for easy transport. The piece stands on a baluster support with graduating turned levels, creating a sense of gravitas, and is finished with original bun feet. It is suitable for everyday use as a wine cooler, jardinière, or container. This bucket is a wonderful decorative addition to any home, whether used as a jardinière, plant stand, or wine cooler. With its rich history and appealing design, it serves as both a functional object and a compelling conversation piece. DIMENSIONS Height 41cm (16.1in) Diameter 38cm (15.0in)
