Art Nouveau French Barbotine Cachepot and Vases with Floral Motifs

A three pieces set of a cachepot and two vases in olive green ceramic decorated with flowers in the Barbotine style faiançe with Interior in bluish green ceramic. 'B FRANCE 50_2 ' marks on the base of Hippolyte Boulenger Creil Montereau Ceramics of Choicy-le-Roi. Height: 8,26 in (21 cm) Diameter 6,69 in (17 cm) Cachepot: Height: 6,69 in (17 cm) Width: 11,81 (30 cm) Depth: 6,29 in (16 cm) The Barbotine style directly influenced the appearance in Portugal of the world-renowned Bordalo style, which follows the same principles of decoration and manufacture. B Brand of French faience maker Boulenger ceramique de Choisy-le-Roi, legendary faience-making family; these 1930s pieces are from the Paul Boulenger period. Manufacture ended in 1938.
