About the Item

A Dutch ebonized wood jardinière from the mid 19th century, with brass liner, turned spindles and ball feet. Born in the Netherlands during the first half of the 19th century, this charming jardinière features a circular tapering body, accented with turned, spindle-shaped supports on the circumference. Presenting a brass liner with large handle, the jardinière is raised on a small pedestal with ball feet. With its elegant lines and dark patina, this Dutch jardinière circa 1840 will be a lovely decorative addition, placed anywhere in a home, from a living room to a desk top.
