French Limoges Porcelain Two-Piece Burgundy Gilt Painted Vase Cachepot On Stand

A stunning two-piece French Limoges porcelain vase / jardiniere planter / cachepot / table centerpiece / wine bottle cooler on stand, featuring exceptional "L'Escarpolette medallion after the famous 18th century Rococo artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard (French; 1732-1806) Exquisitely hand-crafted in France, late 20th century, high-quality porcelain and stunning hand painted decoration, burgundy red ground, with luxurious gilt accents, bulbous body atop a matching footed riser base. The vase decorated with a visually striking exceptionally executed large central medallion, depicting the famous 18th century Louis XV Rococo painting titled "L'Escarpolette" or "The Swing" after Jean-Honoré Fragonard (French; 1732-1806), flanked by brilliantly gilded pierced figural elephant head handles, raised on a fitted base stand with four gilded paw feet. Maker's mark, hand signed artist name Gérard? and dated 1985 underfoot. *Please note, at the time of writing this, a similarly styled different form handled footed pedestal centerpiece / vase / fruit bowl is currently available.
