Pair Gilt Bronze Mounted Porcelain Cachepots with Neoclassical Grisaille Designs

About the Item

Our very unusual and lovely pair of porcelain cachepots (planters), attributed to Meissen, feature gilt bronze mounts at the rims and feet and are distinguished by their beautiful grisaille painted neoclassical motifs including cherubs, cornucopia, scrolls and exotic birds in grey and gold on a blue glazed ground. Underside of one with an indistinct blue underglaze mark.
