Fabulous set of three 19th Century Italian ceramic chiminea preserve pots with handles. These pots were used to preserve food such as fruits, meat or vegetables. They were designed to be used in conjunction with wood-burning stove or fireplace as warmth helped preserve the foods inside. Antique chiminea pots are typically large heavy pots with thick walls and wide flat bases., some with handles for lifting and carrying. Current uses are as decorative accents in homes and gardens as planters, flower pots, or utensil holders. An excellent addition that adds a touch of history and beauty to any space in your home.
