About the Item

A pair of reclaimed and beautifully weathered Compton style scroll pots, robustly cast in composition stone that resembles a light Portland limestone. These large planters are of the same scale and design, the thick top edge and scrolling handles similar to the iconic plant pots made during the early to mid-19th century by the famed Compton Pottery established by Mary Seton Watts. Generous in size, each scroll pot features a naturally weathered finish which can only be achieved by exposure to the elements over many years, and a sizable planting area with drainage holes – perfect for planting with small trees, leafy foliage or flowers.
