A Stylish Example of a Fine Single Bohemian Hand Cut Crystal Black Enamel Luster or Candlestick of outstanding quality and of standard proportions. Third Quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier. With unusual trumpet form support with wavy rim, all ending on a circular gilt enameled base suspending ten crystal triangular prisms with diamond cut detail at tips of each prism. The upper central support hand painted depicting Summer flowers in colours Condition: Exceptional condition, for such an early piece, possibly never used, no losses anywhere, a few prisms have tiny losses at tips. Light wear to gilding, original prism wiring still present. Height: (entire as shown on image) 10.25" (26cm). Diameter: (top rim) 4.75” (12cm). Location: Dublin City, Ireland. This very large antique gilt and enamel decorated vase is unsigned, but believed to have originated from the Czech Republic in approximately 1890 in an Art Nouveau style. The vase is done in a very unique smoky quartz color and formed in a tall organic shape with a bulbous base.
