French 19th Century Neoclassical Style Patinated Bronze and Marble Urns

About the Item

A handsome pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and Rouge Royale marble urns. Each urn is raised by a circular Rouge Royal marble base with a Fine mottled border. Above the stepped socle shaped supports are the elegant patinated bronze bodies with wrap around scrolled foliate and palmettes designs and most decorative Greek key bands. Impressive and intricately detailed intertwined snakes extend along the sides flanking the elegant curved necks with richly chased berried laurel branches and the top circular finals above. All original patina throughout.
