About the Item

Vintage/ antique x large Oriental Champleve Cloisonne Dragons bronze vase with elephant head handles standing on a wooden base. It could be late 19th or early 20th century based on my google research of similar item. It features a vibrant, red, green, yellow and turquoise colorful enamel of raised areas of flowers, leaves, a dragon, a rooster, a fish and other colorfully-shaped designs around the neck and base of the vase, and a honeycomb design all over the remaining vase surface with makes in the areas of joining the pieces. Measurements: The Vase H 29'' W 19 the W of the mouth 9.75" The Height with the wooden stand is 39.5". There is no logo at the bottom of the vase, please review the photos as it is part of the description. This was bought by an American antique collector 30 years ago from an antique store in Thailand. The vase and base are in very good condition with some signs of aging, such as very light scratches or minor cosmetic wear, but they have no structural issues. Around the neck of the vase from the inside there are three nails sticking out. P.S: Cloisonne. : of, relating to, or being a style of enamel decoration in which the enamel is applied and fired in raised cells (as of soldered wires) on a usually metal background compare champlevé Champlevé is an enamelling technique in the decorative arts, or an object made by that process, in which troughs or cells are carved, etched, die struck
