About the Item

Decorate a mantel or a console with this important pair of antique Sèvres urns. Created in Paris, France circa 1890, each elegant vase sits on a square gilt bronze base with cut corners. The large porcelain vase is decorated with a hand painted medallion with neoclassical figures, gilt scrolling borders and have a signature Sèvres royal blue background. Both stately, colorful vessels are further embellished with a pierced brass mount at the neck, and dressed with an attached lid decorated with a bronze top finial. The tall decorative urns are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn rich colors with gold leaf accents. Marked Sevres inside the vase when taken apart.
