Pair of French 19th Century Louis XV St. Porcelain & Ormolu Mounted Lidded Urns
About the Item
A sensational and large scaled pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. Samson porcelain and ormolu mounted lidded urns. The pair are raised by a scalloped ormolu base with designs of acanthus leaves. The circular oblong vase above has most elegant decorations of Asian inspired foliage with birds perched on branches. The urns have wonderful soft color tones of pale blue, coral, yellow, green. Leading up each side are pierced scrolled ormolu handles. The fitted lid has a scrolled ormolu pierced finial, that rests on a pierced acanthus leaf rim. Wonderfully decorative.
