French 19th Century Louis XV St. Chinese Export Porcelain And Ormolu Lidded Urn
About the Item
A beautifully detailed French 19th century Louis XV st. Chinese export porcelain and Ormolu lidded urn. This wonderful lidded pot pourri urn is supported by four foliate Ormolu feet connected to the wonderfully and richly chases handles on either side with additional Ormolu foliate scrolled designs. The porcelain body is decorated with different types of flowers and laurel vines throughout. At the center is a pierced Ormolu band allowing for the potpourri inside to emit a lovely subtle scent. The lid has a spiral foliate design and matches the scrolling movements throughout the rest of the bowl.
