Pair of French 19th Century Renaissance St. Ormolu and Sarrancolin Marble Urns
About the Item
A striking and most decorative pair of French 19th century Renaissance st. ormolu and Sarrancolin marble urns. Each urn is raised by handsome paw feet below elegant lightly curved supports leading upwards encasing the beautiful marble body. The supports display richly chased masks of graceful maidens amidst foliate designs and large scrolled acanthus leaves centering a fine lattice design at the neck. Above is the most decorative scalloped shaped lip with a fluted design and beautiful finely detailed tied foliate designs.
