About the Item
A very elegant pair of French Louis XVI st. mid 19th century Rosso Antico marble and ormolu tazzas. Each tazza is raised by a square mottled marble base with ormolu supports and a front ormolu mount of a foliate garland. Above is a twisted rope ormolu ring below a decorative draped mount. The circular urn with a mottled rim is raised by an ormolu turned fut with an egg and dart design and chased acanthus leaves. The urn is flanked by handsome lion heads and has a central ormolu cameo medallion.
