1970s Modernist Red Enameled Porcelain Vase by Tim & Jacqueline Orr
About the Item
A striking and recognizable design piece from the 1970s by renowned artist couple, Jacqueline and Tim Orr. This porcelain vase was made in their studio in Biot, France. This mid-century modern inspired model was made in several different colors. This is the eye catching, shiny, deep red/burgundy version. The vase is signed at the base "Tim, Jacqueline, Biot" (see photo).
Tim Orr is an English sculptor, ceramist and painter born in 1940 in England. He has been living and working in France together with his wife Jacqueline (1933-1989) since the 1960s.
In very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips or other flaws. Some minor irregularities in the color of the glaze on the edge, originating from the production process (see photos).
