About the Item

This is an extraordinary example of "Aesthetic Movement" decoration, finely rendered on black glazed porcelain. The well detailed and beautifully painted subject, depicts a hunter with bow and arrow watching his prey. The pattern continues all around the vase and is painted in both raised paste gold and platinum with an artistic three-dimensional perspective. The contrast of color is dramatic.
