About the Item

A pair of 19th Century Swedish Liberty Style Vases. Rörstrand porcelain factory in Sweden began producing in the 18th Century. This pair of Scandinavian majolica porcelain flower vases are decorated with a lizard hunting an insect molded all around the vase in different green tones. The fauna as inspiration is very typical around Europe for the Art Nouveau (French), Liberty Style (English) or Jugend (Swedish/German) for artist at the end of 19th Century or early 20th Century, where art went from strictly styles to innovative, more free and happy tones. Wonderful addition for any collector of these majolica pieces.
