About the Item

We offer for sale a large vase produced during the 70s by the Scheurich Keramik company (as attested by the adhesive label still present on the vase) which is part of the large production of extremely textured East German pottery called "Fat Lava". What I like about this vase, and what pushed me to buy it to offer it to my customers is not only for the extremely textured surfaces, which I love very much and which is given precisely by the relief enamel called "Fat Lava", but that this is in neutral and earthy colors and not in the usual combinations of powerful colors. The vase is 37cm tall with a diameter of 18cm. The bottom of the pottery is earthenware mottled color with darker tips, while the relief lines that intertwine and recall Scandinavian design, are mottled ivory beige and dark purple brown. The vase is intact and in good vintage condition. All items visible in the photos are available in our selection on this website. Reach out with any questions
