About the Item

Fantastic pair of freeform vases by Angelo Mangiarotti (1921 – 2012) for Fratelli Brambilla Milano, 1960s, Italy. Mangiarotti was a multi talented man and one of the great designers of the 20th century. He is known for his marble tables and lighting design, but he also left his mark in ceramics. During his career he designed several avant garde ceramic vases and sculptures for several companies. In the case of Fratelli Brambilla he made a series of vases in different shapes, sizes and colors. This model is one of the largest and this pair combines a wonderful vase in radiant blue and one in a more subtle dark brown. Both feature a really deep and shiny glaze. Countless possibilities to combine and style on your table, desk or sideboard. Will never bore due to the freeform shape. These vases are becoming more and more rare - especially as a pair. Both in great shape and signed underneath. About ORNAMENTUM ORNAMENTUM - where we find perfection in imperfection, love a good patina and are always on the lookout for wonderful and unique pieces both vintage and antique. We are based in Belgium near the Dutch border.
