About the Item

Antique Awaji pottery tall vase in deep green glaze. Hand turned. Circa 1920. The vase is tall and cylindrical, with a distinctive double buttress handle design at the neck, where each handle forms an elegant arch extending from the rim to the shoulder of the vase. The glaze is a deep, monochrome green with subtle vertical striations and pooling that add variation and depth to the finish. The handles are integrated into the overall form, giving the piece a modernist yet functional appearance. The overall aesthetic emphasizes clean lines and a bold, unified color. 14 1/2" high, 4 1/2" diameter. Chip to one handle repaired, as shown.
