Antique Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Silver Wire Enamel Vase Birds in Garden with Blossoming Wisteria Tree An antique Japanese, late Meiji period, silver wire enamel vase. The vase has an amphora shaped body and a fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of wisteria and chrysanthemum blossoming flowers and trees on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The base of the vase is adorned with a polychrome foliage motif made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century Attributed to Ota Dimensions: H 5 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and Age. Refer to photos.
