About the Item
Antique and absolutely exclusive, fully hand crafted at Russian Imperial Glass Factory in first half of 19th century. Beautiful combination of colors and unique shape and architecture of fruit vase (Tazza). Similar glass works could be seen in Russian state museums and private collections confirming time and manufacture. This exceptional and very rare vase had app. 190 years long life due its fortunate cozy residence in calm house of Russian emigrants in Sweden.
Size app.: 47 cm (roughly 18.5 in) high, 27.2 cm (roughly 10.7 in) diameter. Very Good condition, minor wear, micro chip(s) and scratches. Please study good resolution images for overall condition. In person actual item may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment. Weight of app. 2,3 kg is going to measure some 4 kg packed for shipment.
Russian glass is very rare: Because of the numerous wars that occurred on the territory of Russia. Also Bolsheviks didn't like beautiful decorative items created in imperial Russia and crashed them every time they had opportunity. On the other hand, Russian tradition welcomes to break some glass as it brings happiness. So not much glass items survived in these hard-severe circumstances.
