About the Item

Arne Bang. Ceramic vase with lid in patinated brass. Signed AB 119. Mid-20th century. Beautiful glaze in green tones. In perfect condition. Dimensions: Diameter 14.0 cm x Height 10.5 cm with lid. Arne Bang (1901-1983) was a Danish sculptor and ceramic designer. Bang was a trained sculptor and made sculptures in the public space. He is known nationally and internationally as a designer of stoneware, silver and tin. In 1929, Arne Bang got a job at Holmegaard Glasværk, where he started and was responsible for the production of Holmegaards Stentøj. From 1953 he had his own workshop in Fensmark.
