About the Item

An Art Nouveau porcelain centerpiece from the early 20th century, featuring two nymph-like maidens emerging from a large oceanic shell. This sculptural piece is a celebration of natural forms and feminine beauty, masterfully molded and hand-painted in soft pastel tones of ivory, green, and earthy browns. This Art Nouveau sculpture was made by Royal Dux Bohemia between 1890 and 1913, as indicated by the mark on the base. The dynamic composition evokes the movement of water and wind: flowing hair, draped garments, curling waves, and blooming water lilies create a sense of life and fluidity typical of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The figures, partially nude and gracefully posed, reflect a romanticized vision of nature and mythology. An enchanting collectible for lovers of symbolist porcelain, mythological themes, or Art Nouveau décor. Take into account that the colors on the items may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images.
