About the Item
Delicate and exquisite mouthblown Swedish art glass vase designed by Arthur Percy for Gullaskrufs Glasbruk in 1952. White and light blue opalescent glass constitutes this graceful vase with the name Reffla (Swedish for grooves) - the model is nicknamed the handkerchief vase. Slim base opening into the top with sheer organic waves. Manufactured by the company Gullaskruf in the small Swedish town of the same name. Stunning Swedish art glass work in beautiful vintage condition.
In 1978, Gullaskruf Glasbruk was bought by Swedish art glass rival Orrefors who also bought Flygsfors, Kosta Boda and Strombergshyttan among others to later become Orrefors Kosta Boda in 1990, before joining the Royal Scandinavia Group in 1997.
