"Bambu" Vase by Enzo Mari

The "Bambu" series of vases, by Enzo Mari for Danese, each began with the same, basic form, the specific type arrived at by how the very top of the vase was cut after the piece was molded. This was a clever and most rational way to efficiently produce a variety of forms, and it was another triumph for the designer, Enzo Mari. Some of the "Bambu" vases are again available as re-editions, but not in the great variety they were available in during their 1960s heyday. They are, for instance, no longer available in this particular color. This vintage example is sold with its original box.
