Beautifully shaped black earthenware/16th-17th century/Wabi-sabi vase

About the Item

I would like to introduce you to a very beautiful form of time. This is probably an earthenware vessel made in Peru, South America. In Peru, there are many earthenware with many round curves, and many of them have polished and smooth surfaces. There are many objects with complicated shapes, but there are also objects with simple and practical shapes like this excavated. This one is black, but I think it originally had pale pink skin. However, it has turned black due to soot and charring. There is surface deterioration, but the condition is good and there are no major scratches. Please use it carefully because it is light and thin. It is a very beautiful curved vase. A Japanese collector used this excavated vase as a flower vase. There is also a tube made of copper, which I think is a tube for displaying flowers. However, if you put water in here, it will leak from there, so when decorating flowers, put water in another container and put it in this. Recommended item. Also, I want many people to know the goodness of antiques, so I set the price at a reasonable price.

Since ancient times, people have created necessary tools from familiar materials, passed them on, and nurtured a lifestyle culture in order to survive in the severe struggle against nature. Over a long period of time, the tools accumulate a certain flavor and reflect the way of life. The harsher the natural environment and the weaker the human being, the stronger the power of the tool. In today's world, where cheap and disposable products are encouraged, the act of repeatedly modifying and re-creating the things around us opens up a new world. With this philosophy in mind, we collect beautiful, powerful, unique, and carefully selected Japanese antiques. This is a very old ceramic vase...
