A brutalist ceramic vase with amazing drip glaze. A fantastic piece of Mid-Century Modern ceramic. Made by Helmut Friedrich Schäffenacker in his own studio in Ulm, Germany, 1960s. Excellent condition. Marked on the base. Helmut Friedrich Schäffenacker (1921-2010) was a renowned and prolific German ceramic artist, recognized for his innovative and traditional techniques in ceramic artistry and known as a master of plaques’. He also worked in other mediums to produce paintings, prints, sculpture and public artworks.
