Cermic vase signed Vittoria MAZZOTTI, enameled and decorated lustre. Albisola Italy, Mid-twentieth century ORIGIN Albisola, Italy PERIOD Mid-twentieth century AUTHOR Vittoria MAZZOTTI (Albisola 1907-1985), daughter of Giuseppe Mazzotti and sister of Tullio, after separating from the rest of the family in 1959, moved with Tullio to the premises on Via Aurelia and together with her husband Mariano Baldantoni, her mother Celestina and daughter Esa, and continued the family ceramic business under the company name 'V.M.A.' (Vittoria Mazzotti Albisola). In 1966 the manufactory exhibited at 'Homage Ceramics to N. S. of Misericordia' held in Albisola. The factory, whose trademark is 'V.M.A' or 'VM Albissola' until 1984, passed in 1985 into the hands of Esa, Vittoria's daughter and wife of Rinaldo Rossello, who changed its corporate name to 'Ceramiche Mazzotti-Esa,' the name under which she brands production, and shared ownership with her son Giovanni Rossello.
