Ceramic Vessel Artemisia Handbuilt in Istanbul, Sculptural Pottery Home Decor

In today’s world based on mass production and consumption where everything moves at full speed; the longing for slow, organic and simple laid the foundations of our pottery studio "Meru Istanbul", founded in Istanbul in 2022. On this journey we set out with a need to “return to essence”; we desire to combine function, decoration and fine arts through our unique designs, as a reminder of the natural and authentic in our daily living spaces. As we carry into future the collective history of our neolithic ancestors with the spirit of now, we are almost reshaped with every piece we create. Each piece is slowly built by hand using traditional pottery construction techniques, with limited planning in advance. High quality imported stoneware clay body is fired at 1200°C, giving it a natural texture and raw appearance. Each genuinely unique sculptural piece is a blend of clay and the potter’s journey with it.
