About the Item

Ceramics of Monaco: this generic name covers many small ceramic factories in the Monaco region. Indeed, the Principality has been renowned for its potters since 1893. But it was the post-war period, 1946 to be precise, that marked the emergence of many workshops specializing in this art. The most well-known: Cérart, Céraflor, Cerdazur, Monacéram, Monazur. While the majority of the decoration of the pieces is floral, the marine world also inspires, more rarely.
