Contemporary Vase from the "Cosmic Bullets" Collection by Nicola Rivelli, 2016

About the Item

The expressive work of Nicola Rivelli stems from the idea of representing the unrepresentable part of man; his oeuvre is pure dramaturgy, an experiential journey aimed at giving presence to absence, chasing the traces of "invisible" evils that leave an indelible mark on the human soul. The Cosmic Bullets are just that: a pain that pierces us, wounds us, and then leaves nothing but an image derived from emptiness, the truth of the soul, the essence of the unconscious, the feelings—namely, the void subtracted from the fullness. The artist attributes the image of "emptiness" to the spirit, almost defining its unknowable and intangible nature, which has always belonged to it but, at the same time, is existential because it depends entirely on what is missing. This is an enlightening and profound journey: after all, what would life be without pain? In 2010, on the occasion of the XI National Chinese Olympic Games, Rivelli created a colossal bronze sculpture weighing twelve hundred kilograms, "Tajshan Kid," placed outside the stadium in the city of Jinan, becoming a symbol of the sporting event. In the same year, the Chinese Post Office, to celebrate Rivelli's artistic work, issued an 80 RMB stamp dedicated to him. This stunning contemporary vase from Nicola Rivelli's "Cosmic Bullets" collection is a testament to his unique vision. Made from lacquered ceramic covered in gold with a delicate brushstroke of blue/violet color, each piece is a unique creation with increasing value. A smaller vase from this collection sold at auction in Italy for €25,000 plus fees (source: artprice), making it an unmissable investment opportunity. See the last photo for reference. Don't miss out on this extraordinary piece! The vase will be professionally packaged and shipped in a wooden crate, with insurance.

Contemporary Glass Vase by Tadeas Podracky from the Series “The Metamorphosis”

Tadeas Podracky Vase From the series “The Metamorphosis” Manufactured by Tadeas Podracky Produced in exclusive for side Gallery Prague, 2021 Mixed media, plastic, wood, textile, foam, glass Measurements 65 cm x 70 cm x 92 H cm 25,6 in x 27,5 in x 36,2 H in Edition Unique Piece Concept The Metamorphosis collection seeks to enhance the emotional bond to our surrounding environment. During the Coronavirus outbreak Podracký returned to Prague his home town and spent a couple of months in a quarantine in his studio there. Access to materials was minimal but he turned this handicap into a research opportunity and started to work only with material found around the studio or that were easy to access, such as wood, textiles, trash such as old car parts, old ceramic pieces or broken glass sheets. Tadeáš realized that these materials had a certain authenticity and so began reevaluating the way he approached the materiality, challenging himself to dis-acknowledge deeply rooted principles of formal design, interrupting established practices of conventional construction methods. The designer was seeking the authenticity of expression and changed his design methodology based on the intuitive use of materials and emotional decisions regarding structure, shape and the construction process. The aim was to let the object grow through his hands by gluing and combining different elements, reminiscent of the process of a bird...
