Danish Studio Ceramic Vase by Chris Moes Earth Tones with Speckles, 1970s

About the Item

Mid-century stoneware vase by Danish ceramist Chris (Christian Verner) Moes (1914-1998). Made 1972. The vase features an interesting both matte and glossy surface. The colors are grey, ochre brown and rose with speckles of purple and black. The vase is made from stoneware with chamotte. Hand-signed under bottom: C. MOES 1972 Chris Moes had his ceramic studio in the Northern part of Denmark/ Jutland in Himmerland.
