About the Item

This beautifully formed and materially sensitive Mid-Century Modernist Round Speckled Earth Tone Ceramic Vase W/ Tapered Neck originates from the United States, Circa 1960. Features a narrow tapered neck that leads to a beautifully rounded body featuring subtle horizontal striations as a result of the hand-thrown ceramic process, featuring an array of thoughtfully juxtaposed earth tones and glazed texturing. The Neck is in a muted raw sienna with lighter hued glaze moving down the piece to gradient of burnt sienna, all carefully speckled with burnt umber providing additional detailing and density of information, stimulating the eye and rewarding prolonged viewing and appreciation. Signed on the undersurface. This lovely vase will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors.
