About the Item
The DIGITUS collection has the use of hands as the main modeling tool. In this process, the result physically acquires the scale of the hand of the maker.
The research involved both clay volumetric experimentation and the possibilities of covering and decorating the pieces with materials such as engobes and high-temperature glazes and glass pastes, all applied on white ceramic.
During this process, the glaze proved to be a material endowed with three-dimensionality, composing with the ceramic the final volume of the piece.
The possibility of coloring these materials used for the ceramic covering added the pieces a complex layer of colors, shades and textures.
